Writing Tips

Did you know, a simple way to improve your writing for year 11 and 12 is to keep a writing journal as you read books? Jot down ideas about characters, themes, your favourite quotes and techniques as you read a text. Not only does this help you actively think about what you read, you can draw from your notes to build paragraphs for related texts. Start to synthesise (make connections) between texts through the ideas and perspectives that the authors bring.
